While Barrack lectures we Americans about the sacrifices we must make for the good of the country, this couple sacrifices nothing (Michelle's sneakers, handbag; Obama's regular golf outings; NYC date; shopping in France; parties; and on and on). The Obamas hit the jackpot when the useful idiots elected this man as president. Now we watch as the Obamas feel entitled to live large which requires treating the US Treasury (i.e., our money) as their personal piggy bank. Yet we sorry saps toil through skyrocketing unemployment rates and an exponentially inflating misery index. And as if this isn't enough, we are saturated with Obama's insufferable arrogance and sneering condescension while he beats us over the head with cookie-cutter Marxist propoganda as we watch him wield the Saul-Alinsky-Rules-for-Radicals wrecking ball to our beloved institutions and our freedom. Marxists notoriously wring the wealth out of their countrymen (aka "equality of misery") while they drive around the countryside in Mercedes; we are watching the Obamas show us how it's done here. There's nothing about the high life the Obamas don't covet and intend to have. They intend to bankrupt us while this family has never had it so good.

Dang, if that doesn't wrap things up in a pretty little bow, I don't know what will.

What has America become...

It has been a long time since I have had the heart to post on my own blog. The last election cycle drained me, teased me, excited me and let me down beyond my wildest imaginations. Consequently, when faced with the disastrous results of last years elections, it took me awhile to gather myself and regroup for the next couple of years.
I have waited for a catalyst to re spark my interest in politics, and today I have found it.

Damn the torpedoes, I have found it.

Let me explain.

We have a President who hates his own Country so much he travels the world, on my dime, and apologizes for what has made us the greatest Nation this world has ever known.

He calls America a muslin nation, he spits in the face of our only true (Until now) ally in the Middle East. He bows to Muslim dictators. He kisses up to supporters of the 9/11 terrorists.

He is NO better than the terrorists that flew those planes. In fact, ideologically, he is closer to those terrorists than he is to George Washington and our other Founding Fathers.

What have we become?

We have a President who is half Muslim, half white, half black, half Christian, half this, half that. Whatever is politically expedient, that he is. Whatever tickles the majority of ears in his immediate audience, Barack Hussien Obama is exactly that.

I am already on Homeland Security's watchlist, so I have no problem emphatically stating that I despise barack obama. Heck, what is the worst that can happen? Surely he would never do what his power hungry predecessors have done... You know, things like shut down free speech, take over health care, nationalize banks and automobile undustries. No, not in america! Not here in the land of the "Free"....???!!!

Who am I kidding.
America has elected a President that even Communists like Chaves laugh at for being "Too socialist".

Nationalized health care, nationalized transportation, nationalized banking....the list goes on. Soon lord obama will be dictating our diets, and driving habits, and financial techniques.

Heil obama!

If ever there was a worthless piece of dog mess, it is barack hussien obama.

Why Obama is finished.

This article explains why Obama is cooked better than I ever could.

Enjoy.

http://www.3conservatives.com/?p=172

McCain Palin

I haven't posted twice in 24 hours for a long time, but tonight is different.

Sarah Palin as VP has me so energized and optimistic that I can't help myself.

I thought Bush Cheney was exciting, and it was, but this is different. McCain is who he is, like it or hate it, but Mrs. Palin is what Republican's have been waiting for.

She is a fresh face, a lovely face, and a tough face.
She doesn't take crap from nobody and she has solidified the Conservative base like no one has ever dreamed of.

It is truly amazing how the Texan's I know have rallied behind her in just a few short hours. But good ol McCain pulled it off, and sucked the life out of lord Obama's despicable crash course toward socialism.

All I can say, is Mrs. Palin, please don't change who you are. But after reading a bit online about it, I realized what a real hero McCain is. He put his Country ahead of torture. He did the right thing, even though he knew it was going to cost him. He displayed integrity and honor. He did what was right. And he was forced to pay for it.\
The libs love to talk about how he, and W, "rode daddy's coattail's", but McCain did just the opposite.
For the first time since he candidacy became inevitable, I am beginning to understand why he is the best man for the job. He is a maverick, and bit ornery, but he is a Hero.
We all know that actions speak louder than words, and his actions say that he will stand up for what is right, even if it costs him.
He is the man America needs right now.
He won't let the terrorists win in Iraq and he won't compromise his core belief's or wiffle waffle on his positions.
He's got my vote.

What is an American?

What does it mean to be an American?
What does it mean to be a citizen of the greatest Nation this earth has ever known?
How is it people from all over the the world want to come to the US, yet we are hated so much?
Is it our President's fault?
Is it our fault?

How is it that a Nation born in strife and raised in hardship has become so fat, lazy and miserable?

Have we not been blessed by an Almighty God?

Have we not had every blessing showered upon us that any Nation could ever hope for?

Why is it then that a leading Presidential candidate could attend a Church that preaches hate toward this great Nation?

Why is it that a hopeful First Lady of the grand Nation can stand and say that her Nation is a mean Nation, while that same person has been made a millionaire by the Nation she so despises.

How can it be that another candidate so hates the BEST health care this planet has ever known that she wants to ruin it by bringing it under the canopy of the State.

How can she not see that what makes America great is the People, not the State!
How can she not see what is happening in the UK? IMHO, he is the most consistently Conservative candidate we have available. Consistency is the key word here, and means the most to me.

Romney has the looks, the suaveness, and frankly, the smarts to make a great President. But somewhere along the way he loses me. Maybe because of his varying stances on key issues. Maybe because he just strikes me as a classic "politician".... I don't know.

Huckabee is a great guy, and I feel he is honest. Which is great, but his record on pardons scares me. I really don't want a 'Pardoner in Chief'. I want a President who respects our judicial process, and abides by it's decisions. Maybe he would be different in the White House, but I want a President who makes bad guys shake in their boots. Huckabee can still change my mind, but his appeal is fading fast, for me.

Rudy.
Ahh, Rudy.
I do love the guy. I really do. He is tough as nails. He doesn't take crap from nobody, and I love that. (Pardon the double negative)
He loses me on a few key issues though. Namely, Life, guns and Faith.
I know far too many Texans who would simply not vote than vote anyone who isn't rock solid on those three issues.

Ron Paul.
Excuse me, DR PAUL.
I like a few things he has to say. But he is just wacky on his foreign policy ideas.
I just don't think that isolationism is a good idea.

The rest of the field, I just don't know enough about.

Which brings us back to Fred.

For me, the bottom line in a Presidential election is, do I trust the candidate?

And for whatever reason, I trust Fred.

Why it sucks to be a Muslim.

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; So the idea that I have to go after it with a club really grabbed my attention, and the more I thought about it, the more sense it made.

Look at Donald Trump. As much as I love to hate him, he is inspired by opportunity, and beats on it for all it is worth. He was so small he could fit in the palm of my hand, just a wee ball of puppy love, yelping for attention. I spent countless hours with him, raising him, trying to house break him, buying numerous barking collars for him, feeding him from a bottle, watching him consume bags of dog food, brushing him, letting him lick me, you know, just alot of "doggie stuff."

Well, as time drifted by, Arnold grew up, I got married, I grew a gut, Arnold grew a gut... Simply put, life happened. And one day I realized that Arnold had a serious hip problem. When he ran across the lawn, his hind end would drag, and no matter how hard he tried to overcome his handicap, it was obvious that he had serious health problems.

After watching him struggle for a few weeks, I took him to a vet, and found out the bad news. Arnold suffered from a degenerative disease common to Basset Hounds, and unless he had an extremely expensive, and experimental surgery, he needed to be put out of his misery.

With a heavy heart, I drove home and let Arnold loose in the back yard. Instead of running about and howling like he used to, he just lay there on the patio and looked at me with those sad sad eyes, so full of pain, and begged for help.

Then and there, looking at Arnold laying on the cold patio, I knew that it was time for me to live a page out of Old Yeller.

I will never forget picking Arnold up, carrying him to my truck, letting him sit on the front seat with me, and taking a short drive into the country. He just looked up at me, with those droopy ears and crying eyes, and seemed to know that this was our last day together. It was almost like he knew his time was come, and wanted me to know he understood.

I drove around for several hours, alternating between crying and telling myself I was doing the right thing, but finally I found a lonely dirt road and pulled over to the shoulder. I blindly stumbled into the cedar thickets, carrying a shovel, and dug a little hole under a Live Oak tree. Then I went back and got Arnold, and carried him back to the Live Oak. I knelt there for a moment, under that huge tree's shade, clutching Arnold to me, dropping tears onto his brown and white speckled back, then laid him down and loaded my rifle. His condition was so bad that he couldn't have move even if he wanted to, so he just lay there whimpering in the dry leaves, rattling them with every pained breath.

I put him out of his pain, then laid him in the hole and covered him up, shovel full by shovel full.
While burying him, I buried part of me, but it was somehow liberating. I knew he was finally free, and if there was room in Heaven for pets, then he would surely be there.

All in all, it was one of the worst days of my life. But as I drove home, hating myself, but knowing I did the right thing, I got just a tiny picture of how God must have felt watching His Son die at Golgotha.

I had just lost a dog, a dog I loved, but still, a dog.

But God, He had lost His Son. Not only had He lost Him, He had to look down and watch Him die a lonely and excruciating death, naked and nailed up on a tree. And while the Son of God was hanging naked, and slowly dying, people were walking around and looking up at Him, mocking Him, and playing dice to see who would get His clothes.

Some folks choose to shake their fist at Heaven, and accuse God of being a mean harsh ogre.

I choose to see Him as a God who showed all of Creation what it is like to truly lay ones own life down for a friend.

Good Advice

Are you a good person?

What a question!

Several years ago I found my sitting in my boss's office. I had been caught pulling some stupid prank on the job, and had been called in to talk with the Boss. I was eighteen at the time, and I can remember my sweaty palms and trembling knees like it was yesterday.

I think everyone can relate to this type of experience, and it's an experience that most of us would like to forget. This meeting was exactly the meeting that we all hate the most. We know that we screwed up, and like a kid awaiting his spanking, we just want to get it over with as soon as possible.

I'll never forget Mr. "Smith" looking over his desk at me, knowing I was scared s***less, and asking me this question, "Daniel, are you a good person?"

Of course, at the time, I pretty much felt worthless. And of course I hesitated in answering his question.

He waited a couple seconds, probably enjoying my nervous squirming about in my chair, then said "Thanks, get out of here."

I stared at him, bug-eyed, and hesitantly said, "Yeah, I guess I'm a good person."

"Sorry, but it took you too long to say it, obviously you don't believe you are."

"But, I am a good person!"

"Then why didn't you say it?"

All I could muster was a few more timid blubberings as I a slouched out of his office with my tail between my legs.

The lesson that man taught me has stuck with me ever since, and every time I am faced with a tough or uncomfortable decision, I remember Mr. "Smith's" advice.

So, are you a good person?
No matter what anyone else says?

On paper, this is an easy question to answer, in real life it is much harder.

Do you Love America?

I have been thinking all day about the 'grandness' of my Country.

Silly, maybe.
Random, for sure.
The simple fact remains, there's no denying how incredibly grand the US is.

The company I work for sent me to Dallas today, and while cruising I-35 I kept finding myself thinking about all the signs of prosperity I saw drifting past me. Gas stations, Hotels, Antique shops, Bakeries, Farms, Outlet Malls, 'Big Box' retailers, Ma and Pop stores, etc etc. Then I started looking at all the commercial vehicles I was passing (My Hummer doesn't like following anybody). It was truly breathtaking to look around me and see Capitalism and commerce at work.
While in Dallas, I drove through several residential districts. It was awesome to drive for miles and see nothing but mansion upon mansion upon mansion. I'm not talking about little 1000 square foot homes. I'm talking about half a million dollar and above kind of homes. It was incredible, and it made me proud to just drive through these neighborhoods.

Sometime in there, perhaps while passing yet another gated estate, I felt just a tinge of jealousy (I am weak, at least I admit it).
The minute I felt that twinge of jealousy for what my neighbor had, I discovered what drives the radical left wing of American Politics.

Jealousy.

Plain and simple.

For the wealthy leftists, this jealousy my be replaced by guilt, but the two are closely connected.

There is something about succes that the left simply hates, and success of The US is a prime example of this.
It is amazing to watch Political leaders, surrounded by historically unprecidented wealth and opulance, whine about how bad the US is.
Why do they do?
Simple, jealousy and guilt.

Jealous and greed for political gain, and guilt for getting it.
Pride for their Country is replaced with guilt for their success.
Thankfulness for the Country that provided them with their successes is replaced with loathing for the Foundations it was built upon.

It is like a husband beating his wife. Instead of fixing himself, he beats the person he claims to love the most.

Right now, the Grand Lady we call the United States of America is being savagely beaten by the dispicable liberal left wing rats of Democratic Party, and it is the duty of every decent American to stand up for the Honor of Lady Liberty.

If you saw your neighbor mercilessly beating his wife or child, would you stand by and do nothing?
No?
Then don't stand by while your Country is being raped and beaten by Democratic Party.

VP Love

Just when I start to think that I couldn't love the Aussies any more, they go and do this.

Finest Hour

There are few things that inspire me more than reading Churchill's words.

Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this Island or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all Europe may be free and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science.

Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, 'This was their finest hour.'

Winston Churchill - June 18, 1940

Now, nearly 70 years later, the civilized world finds itself facing an enemy every bit as evil as Nazism.
An enemy just as bent on destroying us as the Nazis were.
An enemy as murderous as the Nazis.
An enemy as brutal as the Nazis.

An enemy that we must defeat.

This enemy is Islam.

The people of the United States must cast off their chains of lethargy and political correctness. We must wake up and cry from the rooftops that the enemy is coming!
From Sea to shining Sea, from Texas to Montana, from the peaks of the Rockies to the swamps of Florida, we must open our eyes and realize that the Freedom our Forefathers died for is at risk! The very foundations of Liberty are being shaken!
Our Nation is being challenged by the madness of radical Islam, and our Media and leftist Government is doing nothing about it!

Until we are able to unite as a Nation, and speak with zeal these words that Churchill said so many years ago, there will be no finest hour for this generation.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the Old.

Decision 2006

I don't know about any of you out there, but I am sick and tired of campaign ads.
So sick and tired I want to puke.
So sick of twisted "facts" I want to floss with barb-wire.

Since I live in Central Texas, I have had the unfortunate "privilege" of being bombarded hundreds of times a day with the Edwards-Taylor race. Like I said, I am sick of it. In fact, I am so sick of it I toyed with the idea of voting for neither.
Maybe I am being petty, but after enduring weeks of "He's the devil! Don't vote for him", I have had it up to the proverbial 'here'.

Something has to give.
At some point in time, a true Statesman must emerge. A true Patriot who is more interested in what is best for our fair Nation than what is so wrong with his fellow Citizen.
A Patriot who is devoted to building rather than tearing down.
A Patriot who is committed to separating right and wrong, not left and right.
A Patriot who is proud of his/her Country, and daily speaks of Her greatness instead of daily cutting Her down.
A Patriot that makes one proud to vote for him/her.
A Patriot that puts the Nation first, and not his/her private interests.

Where are the Patrick Henry's of our time?
Where are the Andrew Jackson's?
Where are the George Washington's?

What has happened to "Give me Liberty or give me death"?
What has happened to God in the classrooms?
What has happened to the Ten Commandments?
What has happened to Marriage?
What has happened to National Pride?
What has happened to our future generations?

All of it has been tossed under the bus by our current two party system.

I am ready for a true Statesman to show up.
Left, right, up down. But, the hypocrisy demonstrated by the dem's because of Foley's stupitidy must be pointed out.
Ann Coulter made a great point today;

"But Democrats are on their high horses because Republicans in the House did not immediately wiretap Foley's phones when they found out he was engaging in e-mail chitchat with a former page about what the kid wanted for his birthday.
The Democrats say the Republicans should have done all the things Democrats won't let us do to al-Qaida — solely because Foley was rumored to be gay. "

I like the way she thinks.
Just one more example of the farleft nutcases shooting themselves in both feet, and the gut.

The Devil????

Today is a sad day for anyone who is proud to be an American.

There is an organization, with headquarters in NY, that has worn out it's welcome.

It is called the UN.

Today, this organization has shown what a farce and a despicable entity it is.
Today, a madman walked into a building on American soil, and insulted our President.
Today, on American soil, a group of madmen applauded the man who called The President of the United States "The Devil".
And just yesterday, the 5'4" Hitler of our generation, Ah-mad-in-the-head, stood on American soil, and spewed his putrid propaganda. (I hope I spelled that right). He is sitting there, being cool, and one of the broadcasters asks him what it like to be so young and yet having reached the pinnacle of his profession. I don't remember his answer, but I found myself thinking about what it would be like to have reached the highest point of my chosen career, and be there in my early twenties.
The old adage, "It's lonely at the top" comes to mind.
I mean, all this guy has to reach for is attaining the same goal, or reaching the same mountain top, one more time.
That may be cool for him, but for me, I don't want to spend my career reaching over and over again for something I have already attained.
I guess this is one of those 'life questions' that we all struggle with. And, since I have not yet achieved the pinnacle of my career, who am I to judge.
So I will end with this, we must all pick our goals wisely, lest we obtain them, and remain hungry for more.

Ann Richards

Well folks, one of Texas' most vocal politicians, and advocates, has passed away. Each church was overrun with pesky squirrels .

One day, the Presbyterian Church called a meeting to decide what to do about the squirrels. After much prayer and consideration they Determined that the squirrels were predestined to be there and they shouldn't interfere with God's divine will.

In the BAPTIST CHURCH the squirrels had taken up habitation in the baptistery. The deacons met and decided to put a cover on the baptistery and drown the squirrels in it. The squirrels escaped somehow and there were twice as many there the next week.

The Methodist Church got together and decided that they were not in a position to harm any of God's creation. So, they humanely trapped the Squirrels and set them free a few miles outside of town. Three days later, the squirrels were back.

But -- The Catholic Church came up with the best and most effective solution. They baptized the squirrels and registered them as members of the Church. Now they only see them on Christmas and Easter.

Bob

Bob's Story...

It is important for men to remember that, as women grow older, it becomes
harder for them to maintain the same quality of housekeeping as when they
were younger. When you notice this, try not to yell at them.? Some are
oversensitive,
and there's nothing worse than an oversensitive woman.

My name is Bob. Let me relate how I handled the situation with my wife,
Debbie. When I took "early retirement" last year, it became necessary for
Debbie to get a full-time job along with her part time job, both for
extra income and for the health benefits that we needed. Shortly after
she started working, I noticed she was beginning to show her age. I
usually get home from the golf course about the same time she? gets home
from work.

Although she knows how hungry I am, she almost always says she has to
rest for half an hour or so before she starts dinner. I don't yell at
her.? Instead, I tell her to take her time and just wake me when she gets
dinner on the table. I generally have lunch in the Men's Grill at the
club so eating out is not reasonable. I'm ready for some home cooked grub
when I hit that door.

She used to do the dishes as soon as we finished eating. But now it's not
unusual for them to sit on the table for several hours after dinner.
I do what I can by diplomatically reminding her several times each
evening that they won't clean themselves. I know she really appreciates
this, as it does seem to motivate her to get them done before she goes to
bed.

Another symptom of aging is complaining, I think.
For example she will say that it is difficult for her to find time to pay
the monthly bills during her lunch hour. But, boys, we take 'em for
better or worse, so I just smile and offer encouragement. I tell her to
stretch it out over two or even three days. That way she won't have to
rush so much. I also remind her that missing lunch completely now and
then wouldn't hurt her any (if you know what I mean). I like to think
tact is one of my strong points.

When doing simple jobs, she seems to think she needs more rest periods.
She had to take a break when she was only half finished mowing the yard.
I try not to make a scene. I'm a fair man. I tell her to fix herself a
nice, big, cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade and just sit for a
while. And, as long as she is making one for herself, she may as well
make one for me too.

I know that I probably look like a saint in the way I support Debbie.
I'm not saying that showing this much consideration is easy. Many men
will find it difficult. Some will find it impossible! Nobody knows better
than I do how frustrating women get as they get older. However, guys,
even if you just use a little more tact and less criticism of your aging
wife because of this article, I will consider that writing it was well
worthwhile. Soon, monks' robes and fists were flying, although no one was badly hurt, witnesses said.

The "Peace" crowd never fails to amaze me.
Here are a group of Monks, fighting over peace... They tried to make it a big fight but we settled it in a few minutes."

Huh?
Lets get this straight.
We have Monks protesting violence, until someone protests them, then it's balls to the walls beat the tar outta whoever disagrees.

Sheesh, I thought Monks holed themselves up in mountain top newspaper reported Monday.
The Rising Sun Anger Release Bar in Nanjing, capital of the eastern province of Jiangsu, employs 20 muscled young men as "models" for customers to punch and scream at.
"Customers can specify how they want the models to appear -- they can even appear as women -- and then they are free to give them a sound beating," the China Daily said.
The bar charges from 50 yuan ($6.25) to 300 yuan for the pleasure.
If violence does not work, counselors -- students from local universities -- are at hand to dispense advice, the newspaper quoted the owner of the bar, Wu Gong, as saying.
Wu said that since he opened the bar in April, most of the patrons have been women, especially those working in karaoke bars and massage parlors.

Humm.
Models for customers to punch and scream at.
I thought thats what spouses were for.......
(I'm kidding, I'm Nasrallah had taken refuge inside the bunker. A wave of aircraft immediately took to the air and dropped 23 tons of explosives on the bunker.

And this little gem;

It was still unclear who was in the bunker at the time and what their fate was, but IDF sources said the bunker was totally destroyed and that all that was left was a crater.

Wow, I only wish the US military could un-encumber itself from it's political obligations and treat it's enemies in the same way.

I happen to really like the crater bit from the article. Today, I have yet to run across any news stories that catch my eye, so I must break from my norm and post my own thoughts. Scary.
First of all, the news out of Korea is scary. Is it just me or does anyone else get the North K. and South K. mixed up too? Anyway, whichever Korea has the little insane dictator as it's head of state, that is the one I am freaked out by. This little dude is CRAZY, and it seems that while most of the 'common' people of the world are also freaked out by him, our leaders want to just kinda brush him off. This dude shot a missile at Hawaii, on the Fourth of July, and here it is the 8th of July and we have yet to declare war against him. I just don't get it. What if he succeeds next time? What if he actually lands a missile in Hawaii or elsewhere? What then? We the UN just ask for sanctions? We all know how well UN sanctions work...haha. This man is a menace to the Free World and he must be taken out, the sooner the better.
What really scares me is when I realize that one of the major factors at play in the US not taking out Kim Jong is the way the Media has demonized the US involvement in Iraq. The Media has so demonized, criticized and scrutinized the US military and President that they are dragging their heels in removing "kim jong" from his deranged path into infamy. Will it truly take another Pear Harbor style attack to wake America up? I don't know, and it angers me beyond words to see a little despot like him breathing oxygen and taking up space on our fair planet. How many times must History repeat itself? How many times must Hitler, Stalin, Pohl pot etc. etc. reincarnate themselves before the rest of the world wakes up and drives a stake through these demon's temples?
I must stop before I blow another blood vessel.

Lesson learned.

I haven't blogged much recently, it seemed lately nothing was going on in the world to inspire me. That all changed a minute ago, courtesy of MSN news.

It seems that a crazy dude in Washington State climbed a tree, perched himself in it, and began speaking to himself. The story mentions that the tree he decided to climb was a fig tree, I wonder if he ate any of his host's fruit... Anyway, said dude climbs said tree, sits in it babbling, and along comes a friendly neighborhood cop. Said cop saw said crazy dude in said tree, and commenced to pull his pistol and shoot said crazy dude in said fig tree. End of story. This man comes across like a rabid dog, to me at least.

In an interview with the Guardian today, the former vice-president calls himself a "recovering politician", but launches into the political fray more explicitly than he has previously done during his high-profile campaigning on the threat of global warming.

A "recovering" politician? What in the world does that mean? If politics hurt him so bad he has to recover, then why in the world is anyone listening to him? Hum?

Denying that his politics have shifted to the left since he lost the court battle for the 2000 election, Mr Gore says: "If you have a renegade band of rightwing extremists who get hold of power, the whole thing goes to the right."

OK, the obnoxious "renegade band" comment aside, Algore has made a brilliant observation. If a President, any President, is doing his job, his government is of course going to mirror his beliefs and ideologies.... Duh. Umm, wait a minute, maybe Algore wasn't so brilliant...

The new levels of attention he is receiving have led some Democrats to call on him to run again for president, while others have responded with anger that Mr Gore did not show the same level of passion in the 2000 campaign.

This cracks me up. Algore is as angry and worked up as he has ever been, and the only result is his old base is now just as mad as he is, but AT him....ahhaahahahahah. A bunch of mad democrats... ahahahahahah.

In the years since, he has been a steady critic of specific Bush administration policies. He opposed the war on Iraq at a time when most prominent Democrats were supporting it, and more recently spoke out against what he called "a gross and excessive power grab" by the administration over phone tapping.

Mr Algore, just a question here, if I may. When your former administration was conducting wiretaps, did you stand up against it then? DID YOU??? No, you didn't. Now you want to be the big morals police...sheesh. Why should anyone listen to a single friggin word that comes out of your mouth?

Mr Gore's true attitude towards a potential return to the White House - or, at least, a potential battle with Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination - remains unknown.
At the weekend, Time magazine reported that he was telling key fundraisers they should feel free to sign on with other potential candidates. The magazine quoted unnamed Democratic sources as saying that the former vice-president had also been asking the fundraisers to "tell everybody I'm not running".

Why don't you run Al? I would love to see you make a baboon out of yourself, one more time. You and Hillary, ahh, I can see it now. Maybe Hillary will ask you to be here running mate, that would be nice wouldn't it? You might get to play second fiddle once again...only this time to a woman... You must be really proud of yourself.

Link to full article http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,,1786442,00.html

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office. -
Aesop.

I couldn't agree more.

Creepy...

I gleaned this off of a discussion board, so I can not personally vouch for its accuracy. Nonetheless, it creeped me out, and made me think. Enjoy.

Subject: IRAQ This is freaky, interesting and scary all in one!Read down to the very bottom, you don't want to miss this!
VERY INTERESTING
1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.
2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!
3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.
5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq.
6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq.
7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.
9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.
10. Amos cried out in Iraq.
11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq.
13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)
14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.
15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
17. The wise men were from Iraq.
18. Peter preached in Iraq.
19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq. And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land ofShinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible. No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated with it than Iraq.
And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...
The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible):
Koran ( 9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?!!!!!!! (I told you, freaky)
WOW!
If all of this is true, then maybe Mr. Bush really does have a "plan" for Iraq...he just doesn't know it...

Thieves

(From the Shanghai Daily)

A thief fell for the woman whom he stole a wallet from and later returned it after he saw her photo in the wallet, Xinmin Evening News reported yesterday.
Miss Wang was hit by a man while she was riding her bicycle to a supermarket near Lujiazui area last month. While she cleaned herself off and got back onto the bike, she realized that the man had escaped with her wallet, which contained 1,000 yuan (US$125), a mobile phone, bank card, ID card and divorce certificate.
Wang called the police immediately but they were unable to find the thief.
Unexpectedly, when Wang returned to work several days ago, her colleague handed her the stolen items along with a letter, saying that the thief wanted to become close friends with her after seeing her divorce certificate.
Wang is a beautiful 32 years old, who likes makeup and looks fashionable and younger than her real age, said Wang's boyfriend, surnamed Xue. He also said that the thief may fall in love with Wang after seeing her pictures in the wallet.
Afraid that the thief may try to contact her at work or he will be angered by her calling the police, she plans to find another job to avoid him.

What a classic.

Just how does one get to Heaven?

A lady was testing the children in her Sunday school class to see if they understood the concept of getting to heaven.
She asked them, "If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale and gave all my money to the church, Would that get me into Heaven?" "NO!" the children answered.
"If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the yard, and kept everything neat and tidy, would that get me into Heaven?" Again, the answer was, "NO!"
By now the teacher was starting to smile. Hey, this is fun she thought!
"Well, then, if I was kind to animals and gave candy to all the children, and loved my husband, would that get me into Heaven?" She asked them again. Again, they all answered, "NO!"
By this time she was just bursting with pride for them. Well, she continued, "then how can I get into Heaven?" A five-year-old boy shouted out,"YOU GOTTA BE DEAD."

How true.
When we live in a world totally consumed with "buying" our way into whatever it is we want at the time, we forget that we all must literally, and figuratively, die to get into Heaven.

KIDS, "DON'T DO CRACK," or hang out with people who do.

From Ashville NC comes the latest installment of "Dumb criminals"

ASHEVILLE — A judge has thrown out a charge of resisting arrest against a man injured by an explosive police weapon.
The Asheville Police Department and Troy Steven Wyatt’s attorneys give very different details of how a stun grenade detonated near Wyatt, causing what attorney Java Warren said are permanent injuries to his (man parts).
Warren said the dismissal of the charge May 3 in Buncombe County District Court bears out his client’s version of events: that police lobbed the device into his lap as he sat with hands in the air.
Police, however, have said Wyatt and others confronted the tactical team during its Jan. 25 raid on what they called a crack house in Shiloh. Chief Bill Hogan said Wyatt rolled onto the stun grenade — designed to distract people with noise and light — during a scuffle with police.
Discrepancies between an officer’s testimony and the arrest warrant led to the dismissal, police Capt. Tim Splain and defense attorney Howard McGlohon agreed.
The warrant said Wyatt resisted Officer Chad Bridges by disobeying a command “to be still.”
Actually, Splain said, police ordered him to drop to the floor.
“He didn’t, and that’s what should have been articulated in the warrant,” he said.
It’s more than a semantic argument, McGlohon said.
“What is put in the warrant is what we came there to defend,” he said. “And that’s not what the proof was. That wasn’t the evidence that was offered by the state. And that’s very important, because a person has the right to be placed on notice about what he did.”
The dismissal of the charge ends for now the defense’s request to examine a chair cushion. I grab their hand and tell them 'You're so beautiful. I'm not worthy,'" he wrote. "I do not give me real name. If they ask I will tell them my name is Anthony, Jason or Careem."
Weir said his motivation was to get to know the women, but he recalled that often they would move away when he tried to "taste and touch them."

Really? Are you kidding? Are you trying to tell me that women don't like strange random guys trying to lick their toes? Seriously?

"Some women had kick(ed) me and screamed," he wrote. "I've done this to about 70 women, mostly black."

Awwww, you got kicked...what a shock.

Prosecutors said dozens of women had started to come forward to identify Weir, who told detectives in his confession that he lived with his parents and two sisters.
"I am currently unemployed," he wrote, adding that he had been fired from his previous job with a sightseeing company.
In his confession, Weir apologized to his victims, saying: "I don't mean to hurt no body and I am sorry."

I find Mr. Weir's last job hilarious.
Seems like his clients weren't the only ones sightseeing...

(From Reuters)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I couldn't resist...

Oh so happy feet...

Burritos

I make a world class burrito, thank you very much.

Notice the little US flags on the dudes head, with MEXICO emblazoned across the sombrerro above it... I could say the experience was life changing, but that wouldn't do it justice. One of the things that shocked me was how news reports back home in the States were so biased. I had heard the Rush Limbaughs of the world pound the press bias for years, but somehow the reality of it had softened.
As I studied and observed first hand the "mid east crisis" I realized how crafty and cunning the Palestinian leaders were. These guys sat around and waited for the Israeli's to build cities, roads, trains, airports, power grids, sewer systems etc. etc., then popped up and told the Israelis leave or be driven into the Mediterranean.
Instead of reporting that the Palestinians were terrorists, the press corps called for the Israeli meanness to hand over some land "in a gesture of peace".
When the Israelis said "furgettaboutit", the Palastinians started sending in suicide bombers.
When the Israelis decided to build a wall to keep out the terrorists bombers, AP started running stories about how terrible the wall was because it was going to make it difficult for some Palestinians to get to work and how offended the poor Palestinians were. What about the Israel's getting blown up? What about the lives that have assuredly been saved because of the wall?
I spoke to my grandfather the other day and he told about how successful the wall has been. Countless lives have been saved. Why is that not reported?
I don't get it.

The land of Israel has gone back and forth from Jewish control to Arab control several times;
Much of the southern portions of the US have gone from Mexican to US control, or vice versa.

For the decades that the Arabs held Israel, they did relatively nothing with it. [Mark Twain visited the Holy Land and wrote that it was desolate and empty(except for roving Arabic nomads)...That wasn't very many years ago].
The southwestern states were empty and desolate (except for roving nomadic Indians) when the American pioneers settled them.
The Arabs waited for Israeli pioneers to settle and develop the Holy Land, then they claimed the land for themselves.
The Mexicans have waited for the US to settle and develop the southwest, now they are claiming it for their own. Even changing the US National Anthem into Spanish, and calling it "Our anthem" (or something like that).

Mark my words, the day is coming that the government of Mexico is going to demand Laredo or El Paso or San Antonio. When we don't give it to them, prepare for the suicide bombers...

Credit Cards...

Here is an incredible story.
Why can't I be this guy????
(Paying bills ontime helps...)

http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/WaterCooler/story?id=411883

Jan. 14, 2005 -- Walter Cavanagh has 1,497 valid credit cards — all of which amount to a $1.7 million line of credit.
Currently, he holds the record for the most credit cards and for the world's longest wallet, which stretches 250 feet, weighs about 38 pounds and can hold 800 cards. The person illegally entering my Country will likely steal from Social Security by nevering paying into it. He will likely send all or most of his earnings to his family in Mexico or wherever he came from, thereby not contributing to the local and National economy. etc. etc. But I am an "evil conservative" for not wanting him to do these things. I don't get it.
If I break the law, I go to jail. Simple really. I am a legal Citizen of the US, yet if I break the law, I will get punished before the illegal immigrants do... What good does my citizenry do me? Now that I think about it, why am I so defensive about not letting the illegals into my Country? The US is a country of contradictions... sigh. He told deputies that although he told his son he was going to shoot the computer, the gun accidentally fired.
The bullet hit the wall about three feet from where the son was sitting.
Langenderfer is in the Pinellas County jail charged with one count of attempted murder, (accused of trying to kill his son, not the computer).

I wonder if there was ever a time, ( in my younger days of course), when my dad felt like putting a hole in whatever my latest toy was at the time.
